This year, our 5th Anniversary, General Conference and Easter all landed on the same weekend. Since it was such a special weekend, we decided to get out of town. We packed the truck and headed up to Asheville, NC.
We arrived Friday evening and were so surprised at how fun Downtown Asheville was. It is such a "green"city (I am not talking about the color) and we had some of the best food there! Jordyn is trying to figure out if the sugar is organic. It is!
The weather was perfect, so there were a lot of people and performers out on the sidewalks. Such a fun atmosphere!
Jordyn loved all the attention she got!
The next day we decided to tour the Biltmore House. After eating a great breakfast (organic locally grown eggs and fresh squeezed green juice), we realized that we forgot some things at home so we had to make a $65 stop to Target. I hate that! We had to pick up jeans for me and a stroller and Easter basket for Jordyn. Yes, we had all of that sitting at home, but for some reason it didn't make it with us.
The Biltmore House, alone, takes about 2 hours to tour. Jordyn finally took her nap about an hour and a half into the tour. (You aren't allowed to take pictures in the home.)
After the tour, we decided to play on the grounds. Brooks was in heaven. He kept saying, "Look at this land. Just look at it. It is amazing!"
We then headed back to Downtown Asheville and ate some awesome pizza and some of the best chocolate yummy goodness I have every tasted. Jordyn was in love too!
Since we entered the Biltmore after 3pm, we were allowed to use our tickets for free the next day. We decided to take advantage of that and went to the Easter Egg Hunt (more like Easter Egg Pick-Up). It was so much fun. There were a ton of little kids in their Easter dress running aimlessly trying to pick up as many eggs as they could. There were no treats in the eggs, so Jordyn picked up more than 3.
After you picked up your eggs, you would return them to a table the Biltmore had set up and get your treat. I thought that was a great idea because we weren't left with 30 plastic eggs and they got to reuse them since there were 3 other hunts that day. I told you Asheville was green!
We then took advantage of another day of beautiful weather and toured the gardens.
Then it was time for lunch and to head home.

Jordyn is such a pretty girl!!
First off that video of her dancing was the cutest thing EVER!! Also that Easter egg "pick up" was HUGE!! I want to go there one Easter in the future. Deal? Your Easter looked like tons of fun!!
I agree with Jenna...watching Jordyn dancing was adorable!! What a fun Easter Jax!!
